On August 29, the coordination committee of "5-in-1, Fill Suzhou with Love" organized a charity sale at Stage in Suzhou Industrial Park. On the spot, 200-odd loving-care shops and nearly 100 kind-hearted individuals set up 80 booths to sell the goods provided by the sponsor, the DIY products made by the students of Midu Middle School (most of the students are the children of migrant workers) and Jinchang Peizhi School (a school for children of mental retardation) and the goods of loving-care shops at Stage, and they raised a total of 22,421.6 yuan for the charity project, the aim of which is to give financial aid to one school, ten households and 100 students, and help 1,000 people fulfill their dreams and donate 10,000-yuan worth of books.
Since it was inaugurated on March 29, the "5-in-1, Fill Suzhou with Love" charity project has drawn great attention from public-spirited individuals and units from all walks of life and obtained their vigorous support. The "5-in-1" project, in the forms of charity donation, auction, sale, lecture and performance and by means of serving, integrating, promoting and upgrading loving-care activities, is launched with the aim of advocating the creation of a society full of compassion.
